I love the Arizona Sonoran Desert, Summer Monsoon Rainy Season, because it means FABULOUS CLOUDS. I love clouds in all their stages.
I am ever amazed at what cloudscape will I witness that day. I can always expect to be surprised, at the ever changing atmospheric conditions of our 5th season, the wet summer of monsoon season, and what it will share with me, such as here, in July of 2018.
This day afforded me many fabulous photography moments of the clouds, which I have shared. With them building up over the mountains to the east and north.
Just two and a half hours later, I was back out to check the clouds, nearing sundown. Standing in my backyard, I said, "what's up with the sky," as this whole eery change came over the sky from all directions. Forming these very unusual, and weird clouds. I had never seen anything like it, feeling like I am in some science-fiction film.
I started capturing them from my rear yard looking east, worked my way to the front street, so that I could try to capture the full view of this phenomenal cloudscape, at sundown.
Here, looking to the Northwest toward the Catalina Mountains, the clouds take on "A Beauty All Their Own." Looking like mammatus clouds, with blissful blues, and hints of pink. Their mammoth size, dwarfs the silhouetted Catalina Mountains.

You are most welcome for the enthusiasm! This photo inspired me to go on a multi day uploading spree of old stuff, and I have started filling up my Wyoming gallery, some of which sure cloudscapes :) so thank you for the inspiration!

Well, hey, if I can inspire you in such a phenomenal way, I am delighted, and is my pleasure to contribute to that! I will have to check out your Wyoming gallery. I am ready to go on a uploading day myself. I went through my Saguaro cactus blooms day at Sabino Canyon and Saguaro National Park. I had 300 images from that day. Hence why I get overwhelmed, as I have lots of days like that to post. My new camera came, but find that I will still need my present camera that I am one with. I just need time, because change can be hard.

You have taken me back to Wyoming with this phenomenal cloudscape, Janet. Absolutely love the atmosphere you've captured here. The sky looks so huge and intimidating. Clouds like these on a summer night are one of my favorite things!

Thank you so much Chance for your wonderful comment about my recent series of clouds, photographed on July 19, 2018. As the sun was going down the entire sky from all directions, became this phenomenal atmospheric situation. Two and half hours before this, began the awesome clouds of the day, culminating later to the entire sky becoming this strange phenomenon, as seen here, something Jerry and I had not seen before. I am glad it takes you back to Wyoming. You will have to share some of those cloudscapes from Wyoming. The sky WAS huge and intimidating, this only capturing the northwestern part of the sky. The sky in every direction was marvelous. Hence why I stood in the middle of my street, being at the highest point of my street, so that I could capture the sky all around me. I appreciate your enthusiasm about this. Janet π
