Description
Purple is my passion color, so it brings me much purplelicious, elation! This Texas Mountain Laurel, in my Arizona Sonoran Desert garden paradise, has luscious purple flowers that bloom every springtime. There’s no doubt that the Texas Mountain Laurel tree is an ornamental beauty, that's evergreen, keeping its leaves all year long. Even though a favorite in Arizona, they are not native to Arizona, but rather native to Texas, New Mexico, and Northern Mexico.
It's a favorite flowering tree throughout the Southwest, sure to turn heads. Especially when the fragrant, early spring bloom of violet-blue flowers make their appearance.
My Texas Laurel, produces many of these scrumptious purple clusters of blossoms, thereby attracting butterflies, big bumble bees, and desert bees. Making my desert yard, "A Texas Laurel Delight" for all.
