"The easy access of the Pa'rus Trail offers the remarkable views and is particularly beautiful during the morning, showing off the colors of autumn. Rather than catch the shuttle bus at the Visitor Center to take us into the main canyon, we walked this two mile trail to Canyon Junction.
We are so glad that we did too. "As The Pa' rus offers exquisite views of lower Zion Canyon, and its expansive tree-dotted pastures offer fantastic foreground for this photographer, capturing the grand peaks along either side of the canyon." I mean what a foreground of the luscious gold of Autumn leaved trees.
"In Paiute, Pa' rus means "by the river." This single word accurately describes the Pa' rus Trail, which follows the Virgin River with a wide, well-paved path, accentuated by some very attractive bridges, that take you back and forth across the river." I am standing on one of those bridges to capture Mount Spry. After viewing this, “Are You Feeling Spry?” I know I am.
Mount Spry is one of the smaller rock formations in Zion National Park, Utah (USA), but also one of the most aesthetic. It is the triangular looking red peak that made for one of the great photos on my way up the trail to "Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

Janet, I love this capture, Looks like fall, I think that is probably the best time to visit Zion, This is a wonderful view with the golden colors of the trees and the Virgin River running through it, Its really great work !!! L/F

This too was along that walk. A much better choice to walk this, than catch the shuttle to get into the main part of the Park. Autumn is an exceptional time, especially October. We have been there about 30 times, but had been 30 years since we were there in October. I must admit I had more appreciation for it in 2019 than 1989. Ruth! Thank you for visiting and sharing your sweet thoughts about my artwork. Zion National Parks has marvelous, towering sandstone cliffs. The Virgin River flows throughout the south end of the Park. This Pa' rus Trail offers these stunning views, Pa 'rus meaning "by the river." The autumn leaves were a constant feature in our October 2018 trip. I am glad you like it and have chosen it as one of your favorites too! đź’•Janet
