I was one of the thousands to visit the Arizona Picacho Peak State Park, as wildflowers burst onto the scene. Especially the Mexican gold poppies, the comeback kid has made its triumphant return. The wildflower season of 2019, was exploding.
While meandering up the trail that winds up the peak, views of splendor are all around me. Showing off the unique volcanic rock formations of the Picacho Mountain range, as well as the varied desert flora, especially the Saguaro Cacti and Mexican gold poppies. Reminding me of the time, "when the desert plain will be joyful and blossom as the rose." It truly will be "Blossoming Desert Jubilation!"

Oh, to be able to walk among all of those beautiful blossoms would be heaven. That is a gorgeous image and just draws you in to gaze at the expanse of color. I had to chuckle at the Giant Saguaro fells -- he looks as if he has is family in tow and is showing them the beauty of the desert. Lovely image!! LF Featured in American Desert Southwest.

In February 2019 Picacho Peak was so green and prolific with poppies and wildflowers. It also is a great place to view so many wonderful Saguaros.
