Description
I have really enjoyed capturing these chrysanthemum daisies.I would pass by them at various times of day, and see them taking on so many looks in size and appearance. It's almost as though I have many different flowers growing. So it makes it so fun, because I have a new surprise each day.
The daisy comes from a very large family, as there are currently more than 40 species of the plant worldwide. This daisy class produces blooms that have multiple layers of petals. The doubles can look a bit like zinnias or dahlias, than daisies.
This bloom's petals looked as though someone came along, and fluffed out the petals. Or perhaps one of the other blooms annoyed it in some way. When we do that it is called "ruffling someone's feathers." But in this case, one would have to say, "Don't Ruffle Your Petals!"

Love the way the light peeks through and softly dances on the flower petals. The variety of flowers has always amazed me. So many different flowers in the same family. This one reminds me of a Dahlia. L/F
Janet Marie replied:
Wow Deborah! What a beautiful way to express my flower presentation. I like that, "softly dances on the flower petals." I have variety right within this group of gerber daisies. The only one that made such a presentation. As though it shook itself, like a just-bathed-dog. This species of daisies does at times resemble a dahlia or zinnia. It's wonderful to have so many different looks with one plant. I am glad you like it and have chosen it as one of your favorites! Thank you for visiting! 💕Janet
