Description
Being allergic to cats, I do not own one myself. However, this kitty cat belongs to a nearby neighbor. You would think it was mine with the amount of time he has spent around my property (even getting up the roof, running back and forth).
My house is situated on lush, natural Sonoran Desert surroundings, so there are plenty of places to hideout. Such is the case here. I am walking along my street, toward front, side yard, looking to photograph my cactus flowers. I was startled to see it hidden in the bushes, with that look as if to say, "I'm a go anywhere I want to kitty." Maybe he watches too much Garfield.
He is a very good looking cat and I loved this shallow depth of field moment, as he is hidden in this creosote bush. I am finally getting to share it.

Beautiful cat, Janet! Nice neighbor. :)
Janet Marie replied:
Thank you Richard for your visit and sharing your thoughts. I can't really say how the neighbor is, as we haven't really chatted. They keep to themselves. Although I can't say that for their cat, who has made himself somewhat of a nuisance. I don't see it anymore. Perhaps with its constant wondering in this neighborhood, which does have, coyotes, bob cats, javelina, and rattlesnakes, you never know. I did have fun photographing his trespassing ways.

Looks like a beauty! We have 2 or 3 strays right now that we are feeding. Need to adopt one soon!!
Janet Marie replied:
With the coyotes and the javelina, there really aren't any strays. This cat has an owner, right across the street from us. All the homes sit on an acre of natural desert flora. I think the owners are keeping the cat inside more now for its safety, as well as he would continually bring home his kill from our place, desert cottontails and birds (desert birds tend to spend a lot of time on the ground). That is why I prefer him not visiting my home, as well as his spraying everywhere. If the cat is a beloved pet, it is best to not let them roam the neighborhood. They could get run over by a vehicle as well. Thank you, Sharon, for sharing your very nice comment about this kitty cat, as he is quite a striking looking cat at that.
