**Explore Zion National Park Travel Art, in my "Zion National Park-Utah" Collection**
"The easy access of the Pa' rus Trail, in Utah's Zion National Park (USA), offers remarkable views, and is particularly beautiful during the early morning. Rather than catch the shuttle bus at the Visitor Center to take us into the main canyon, we walked this two mile trail to Canyon Junction. "In Paiute, Pa' rus means "by the river." This single word accurately describes the Pa' rus Trail, which follows the Virgin River with a wide, well-paved path.
We are so glad that we did too. "As The Pa' rus Trail, showed us those exquisite views of lower Zion Canyon, and its expansive tree-dotted pastures offer a fantastic foreground for this photographer, capturing the grand peaks, such as "The Watchman" pictured here.
It is one of Utah's Zion National Parks most recognized feature. This is a famous shot of this giant rock buttress. What a foreground of the luscious gold Fremont Cottonwood trees of Autumn and a beautiful cloud filled sky for a backdrop. As part of a jagged ridge line that runs on the East side of Zion Valley, it GUARDS the southern portion of this ridge. Thus, this ridge is given the name "Watchman," taken during "Its Early Morning Watch!"

I'd like to comment on every new image I see of yours- as they're ALL so beautiful Janet... but THIS ONE~ WOW.. I absolutely LOVE THIS 'Watchman'. That dark lining of the mountain~ it's like this mountain is trying to stay humble, but its strength and beauty are bursting forth! Huge Fave!!!

This one I posted a year ago, but putting it on the front page for fall and winter gives an opportunity to lovely people like yourself to see it. The colors of the "Watchman" are ever changing. Instead of taking the shuttle, decided to take the Pa'rus Trail early in the morning. The cliffs are so high, the sun didn't come over them until about 9 AM, hence the coloring you see. So glad you like it and gave it a HUGe Fave!! Along the Watchmen is where Robert Redford and Jane Fonda let Rising Star go, from the film Electric Horseman. So it's a fave with us all around. đź’•Janet

Yes indeed. I totally agree! What beauty awaited us throughout. That was a first for us, over our 30 years of visiting Zion, to WALK the Pa’rus Trail. We viewed it by bicycles, which was great, but a leisurely stroll, allowed us to savor all the beauty of the early morning hour. Photo ops for sure. Still have more to share.
