I love the Arizona Sonoran Desert's glorious sunsets. Spring had just sprung, and I took out time from my desert flowers photography, to capture some April sunsets.
I love clouds in all their stages. They stir my imagination and form many thoughts as to what I see with the clouds. They can make a vivid impression on me. The sun sets in the far southwest of my home, not like my summer sunsets that are directly west, over the Tucson Mountains.
Here, I am standing in the street of my natural desert landscaped, front yard, and the distant Santa Rita Mountains, are silhouetted against these magnificent clouds. I was in jaw-dropping awe, over this unreal sky before me. What a sunset, looking like an artist at work, 'My Paint-Brushed Sky!"

Thank you, Sharon for your lovely comment of my cloudscape photography. In the Sonoran Desert of Southeastern Arizona, are some of the best sunsets and other cloud phenomena. It looked as though it had been painted with the sweeping motion of a paint brush. Being surrounded by mountains from every side adds to the beauty. The Catalina Mountains to my north, the Rincon Mountains to my east (which I have a close-up view from my backyard acre), the Tucson Mountains to me west, and here to the south, the Santa Rita Mountains.

The paint brush effect is not from me, but the One who has Created the sun, clouds and atmospheric conditions that gave these clouds the look of being painted with an artist paintbrush. Hence my title. A sky painted by the Greatest Artist. We get to photograph or paint His handiwork.

Fantastic capture of this breathtaking sky hovering above the Santa Rita Mountains, with the gorgeous silhouetted desert flora in the foreground. So aptly titled as it does give us the effect that an artist, the magnificent Creator, has swept the sky with a paint brush. What a majesty of colors too! Well captured at just the right time, as their color is so fleeting. (I can't believe I missed out on leaving a comment about this) like/fave/Facebook
