Feel a glow of happiness, a glow of contentment, a glow of satisfaction, or a glow of peacefulness! In glowing terms, "Never Stop Glowing!" Something I strive to do in my photography, to share a good feeling of some kind.
This Barrel Cactus beauty was in our own Arizona Sonoran Desert paradise. It's like embers glowing from the remainder of a fire!! As though glowing from within. There are so many artistic possibilities with my Fish-Hook Barrel Cactus blooms. I love it in black and white as well.

This is an especially favorite of mine, as I had never seen the lighting like this again. Sadly, this cactus is no longer around. I am just glad to have captured some amazing photography of this one.

So, that cactus plant is really a tree. I would love to see some of these cactus plants and trees as the whole plant. Hi Deborah! So lovely to hear from you. On the Color Me Happy cholla cactus, they can grow as a ground creeper, shrub, or tree. In my desert acre, I have none growing like a tree. Saguaro National Park and other open areas where they grow, are treelike. I am glad mine don’t grow that way. They grow more out, than up. I have a tall jumping cholla cactus or chain fruit cholla as they are also called. Thank you for sharing such a great comment about this barrel cactus bloom. I love photography because I love what I photograph. I appreciate your beautiful words expressed. My humor collection shows many of my play on words photography. Part of the fun I have, are the titles, as they are part of the backstory for my photography.

It was one of those one of a kind moments of this barrel cactus bloom, having many photography opportunities for this particular cactus. Sadly it is no longer with me. I am glad to have had it bring me so much joy to photograph these past 4 summers, as they bloom during our 5th season of the wet summer or monsoon. I was new to FAA and this expressed a special story for me.
