Considered the most recognized cardinal there. No, Nevada is not their local, neither is northern Arizona. So I am pleased to have the privilege of enjoying their beauty. I am delighted that you noticed the tilt of its head. I was quite far away, having to use my 300mm lens. They constantly fly in my desert vegetation. So landing on this sawed off cholla cactus, it was probably on the alert. I appreciate your words of encouragement and inspiration. It means a lot. It's a pretty good size bird compared to the Costa Hummingbirds that visit, but not as big as the thrashers. I am glad you enjoyed the description. I can't believe I had all that to say, but that is part of the creative fun for me. So glad it made you think of the Arizona Cardinals Pro Football team. I had to throw that in there.
