This was a surprise moment during my sunset photography near my home, which sits on an acre of natural Sonoran Desert vegetation. Our Arizona summer monsoon season means fabulous cloudscapes and surreal sunsets. I stood in the middle of the street looking east toward the Rincon Mountain range, and this was before me between my property and my neighbor’s. I couldn’t believe I was getting to view such splendor.

Looking eastward, the setting sun just lit up the clouds in a most deLIGHTful way. I just had to be there, waiting for it to happen. I wasn’t disappointed.
