Thank you Ann for your lovely comment. I don't have any special programs for my photography. It needs a good camera, the right time of day, using a macro lens to get in close, a steady hand (as I have to stoop down, which isn't so easy for me anymore, trying not to fall backward) and be careful not to get stuck, as those thorns really smarts. They are gorgeous indeed.

Thank you so much Jenny for that. The golden barrel cactus flowers truly are incredible. Being so small, I have to get in real close with my macro lens to get such photography. They are such fun flowers, but expect to say "ouch", for these images. I appreciate you sharing this on Pinterest.

I saw your beautiful yellow cactus flower, but it was not a golden barrel cactus bloom. There are about 2000 species of cactus. Many are from Mexico, Central America, and South America, and do well in Arizona. California has its own native barrel cactus as well in the desert regions of California.
