Turning Over A New Leaf

Thank you Debbie for sharing your wonderful thoughts about this. Normally the Ocotillo looks like just a dead stick. And when the rains come they just leaf out practically out of nowhere. Amazing. I really wanted to hone in on the intricacy as to what a work of art they are. I especially enjoy the vibrant red-orange flowers that form on the tips of them during the spring time. I am glad you like it and have chosen it as one of your favorites. I really appreciate that and for sharing it on Twitter too. Janet 💕

Sometimes when you have ideas on how you want to capture something, at times they just work. It’s amazing how something that looks like a dead stick, seemingly overnight, leafs out so beautifully. Johanna! So excited by your visit and curiosity about this marvelous plant, native to the Sonoran Desert and Chihuahuan Desert in Southwestern United States. I live in the most eastern part of the Sonoran Desert in Southeastern Arizona. So it would be new to you unless you’ve had the pleasure to visit here or viewed them in pictures. They are gorgeous at a distance, looking lushly green. But up close, gives a different perspective of their uniqueness. Thank you for visiting and sharing such a marvelous comment, that made my day. Wow Jane! I’m gobSMACKED! What an aWeSoMe comment about my artwork. I seriously thought about submitting it to your group, but didn’t try to submit to any group when first posting it. I am amazed at how certain times of day it creates such wonderful lighting, and colors. I have no photography enhancement programs. I am pure photography. Sometimes I feel inadequate compared to some who do such artsy creativity with their photos. You are a person of detail to have noticed why I like this so much, and wanted to post it.
