Description
I love the glorious sunsets of Arizona's Sonoran Desert. They are especially beautiful during our Summer Monsoon Season. The sky was forming some pretty unusual cloud formations, stirring the imagination and thoughts as to what can be seen with the clouds.
I just knew the sunset would create such a lovely, vivid background for this windmill. I love the windmills of the west. They create such a feel of nostalgia, of by-gone days. I decided to focus my camera eastward, wanting to capture this magnificent cloud, as a backdrop to this windmill, nestled in the desert vegetation. The setting sun, really lit up this cloud, creating this marvelous "Windmill Ridge Sunset!"

Something I have been wanting to do for a long time. I love windmills of the Southwest, and thought it would be great to capture it in a sunset setting. So glad I finally had the opportunity to do so. The time was right. The clouds were unusually unique, and the sky so colorful. I am glad you like it and I appreciate you choosing this as one of your favorites too. ππππ
