Here we are in Zion National Park, Utah (USA). To get to this spot, one has to walk from Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, Shuttle Stop 4, up to "Sand Bench Trail." Just a start to the beauty that one can enjoy.
Standing like a tall watchman over the canyon, The Sentinel is one of the most famous rock formations and prominent figures of the park, with towering sandstone in rusty orange layers and an imposing summit. The Sentinel sits across from the Court of the Patriarchs.
Standing at the Virgin River's edge, The Sentinel is beautifully landscaped by the gold of Autumn leaves. It's the "Zion Canyon Watchman!"

We explored a few different areas, as Angels Landing was closed for maintenance, and they were paving the road from the Zion Lodge to the end. In the 30 years we have visited Zion, we only were there twice in the month of October. So it was wonderful to experience all the shades of Autumn. 💕Janet
