The Grand Canyon, in Arizona is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and its vastness humbles the artist and photographer. It is such a joy to attempt to capture its beauty, needing to be in the right place at the right time.
Beautifully silhouetted Zoroaster Temple, on this wonderful August morning sunrise, full of atmosphere, with rain, lightning, giving marvelous morning sun rays at Mather Point viewpoint! Creating a gorgeous backdrop of "Grandiose Purple Rain!!" (I have never experienced such a glorious sunrise morning at the Grand Canyon). I would say it's so purplelicious!

Hartmut! How special of you to visit another of my favorite wonders to photograph, atmospheric phenomena. It's was an aweSoMe morning at sunrise, one we had never experienced at the Grand Canyon before. Most had left in disappointment due to the cloud cover, rain, and lightning, BUT they missed out on the best, because it turned out to be a unique sunrise and glorious morning as you can see. What a privilege, these moments should make us appreciate the Creator of the sun, the earth, and our atmosphere, which makes possible such glorious displays. The Psalmist put it so nicely at Psalm 19:1, "The heavens are declaring the glory of God; The skies above proclaim the work of his hands." And I get to capture it, and share my exhilarating experience. Thank you for your wonderful expressions and thoughts about my artwork. It means so much! đź’•Janet
