I love the Arizona Sonoran Desert, Summer Monsoon Rainy Season, because it means FABULOUS, MASSIVE CLOUDS. I love clouds in all their stages.
We are getting huge rainstorms with not only amazing cloud formations at sunset, but surreal atmospheric phenomenon. On the left side is a downpour sweeping across the scenery and the sun going down on the right. Creating wonderful backlighting against the white clouds and fabulous VIVID BLUE sky beyond the storm clouds.
It is, a most exhilarating experience to be out photographing the power and beauty of these storms. As it makes a vivid impression on me, I call it "Monsoon Majesty!"

Sunset moments during our monsoon summers, can't be anything but fortuitous (I like that word by the way). That is what makes it never a perfunctory task. From day to day, it's a beautiful surprise. I just have to be there to capture those moments. I means what is the odds that it would be raining on one side of the image, and the sun beaming as it goes down, on the other side of the image.
