Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Purple is my passion color and my favorite, hence why the Arizona Purple Prickly Pear Cactus is my favorite cactus. They only bloom in the springtime. This capture was right in my own desert paradise. These flowers resemble a rose. So I call this my Purple Passion Rose. Another one of my oh so, purplelicious moments!

Thank you kindly, Marian, for your lovely thoughts shared about this. The flowers on a prickly pear cactus resemble my favorite flower, the rose, and this purple prickly pear cactus (also known as the santa rita prickly pear) is passion color purple, hence my title for this piece. But it is not a rose, just reminds me of a rose. The background is the rest of the of purple stems of this cactus, creating a lovely backdrop. I love getting in close with a shallow depth of field capture. It has created so many beautiful and fun artistic possibilities. I appreciate you stopping by and choosing "Purple Passion Rose" as one of your favorites too!

Wow! Did that really grow out of the purple cactus? I'm going to be on the hunt this spring to find unusual plants/flowers in the southeast. We have an abundance of sunflowers, but not sure about cactus plants. Great capture!

Eileen! How lovely of you to stop by to visit my gallery! Thank you for that!! Yes this flower really grew out of this purple prickly pear cactus. It happens in the springtime. Most all my cactus flower and cactus photography is from my acre natural Arizona Sonoran Desert yard. Ours is a unique desert, a lush desert. When it gets rain, it really comes alive here. You will have to do some research as to what types of cacti would do well in your neck of the woods. The state of Arizona is diverse in what regions are here. The Sonoran Desert has grasslands in the high desert areas. I don't have to travel far for marvelous photography opportunities. Since joining FAA I have become very in tune to my surroundings even more. I appreciate your lovely words expressed, so glad you like it and feel it's a great capture! In the springtime, in our Arizona Sonoran Desert all Cactus, except the Barrel Cactus (summer Monsoon rains it blooms), get these beautiful rose-like flowers.
