Picacho Peak State Park, is hands down, one of the best spots to see blooming wildflowers in Arizona, with bushels of incredible golden blooms of Mexican gold poppies. They are celebrities here at Picacho Peak State Park.
Far from being a desolate, barren land, the Sonoran Desert has a rich abundance of life. Inviting you to come and explore the Sonoran Desert, and discover some of its beauty.

Thank you, Debby. Poppies are especially prolific at Picacho Peak State Park, northwest of Tucson, Arizona. Despite some late winter storms coming through the state, they were out in abundance. I have not shared this years images yet. The years 2019 and 2020 were quite awesome though.
