What would life be like without the beauty of roses. They always catch my attention, and I am amazed at the many varieties.
Ah, the simple beauty of a beach rose (rosa rugosa), also known as a rugosa rose. They are known for growing on coastal beaches. So, they are valued because it can tolerate salt water spray.

Thank you so much Sharon for your lovely words expressed. I really appreciate it! I really am not lucky to be around roses. I have a potted miniature rose bush, and I have been gifted some roses. The majority of rose photography, is during my travels with my camera. Roses are my favorite flowers, so when they catch my attention, I am right there, capturing the love and joy they grace me with. My home is situated on a lush Sonoran Desert acre, water is precious, and roses require a lot of water and tending to. So I don't grow them myself. My prickly pear cactus varieties and staghorn cholla cactus, give me rose-like flowers every spring. The best thing is, I don't have to tend to them at all.
