The Arizona Sonoran Desert Prickly Pear Cactus, is one of my favorite cactus. They only bloom in the springtime. Here is seen the Engelmann Prickly Pear Cactus (Opuntia engelmannii), perhaps the most widespread of all prickly pear cacti.
It's a privilege and a joy, to share the many varieties to satisfy those who just can't get enough of what the Arizona Sonoran Desert has to offer. They remind me of roses, my favorite flowers.
The sun was highlighting the luscious layers of loveliness, just right. Getting in close to capture its hidden beauty.
