It certainly was a “CLEAR AS A BELL” day in December, with lots of atmosphere with the soft white clouds, against a baby blue sky. Creating a gorgeous backdrop to the red rock and green vegetation. What lovely complementary colors from the Master Artist and Creator of this beauty.
"Bell Rock" is a famous Landmark, and popular tourist attraction. Bell Rock is one of the first identifiable red rock formations you see when entering Sedona, Arizona (USA), from Hwy 179. It is quite clear how it received its name; it looks like a giant red bell melting into the landscape. It is just west of another famous rock formation, "Courthouse Rock."
We were on our way to the Grand Canyon National Park, and Sedona was a wonderful preview as to what beauty we would encounter on this trip.

The awesome color of the rock is really made to stand out against the pastel sky and soft clouds. It was a very atmospheric trip in Sedona and next the Grand Canyon. Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte stand tall as a grand greeting, welcoming one into Sedona. I am humbled by your words, most appreciated.

Yes it is incredible and it seems that way as you expressed because it is unique to Arizona and Utah. Part of what is considered the Grand Circle. No where else has the Sedona, Lake Powell, Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion (and all others places within that circle). So glad you enjoyed the places we love. Sometimes you wonder if you can capture what you see and feel in person. I try and am humbled by all the talent on FAA.
