đź’•Come explore the beauty of the Arizona desert flora in my "Desert Cactus Flowers" collectionđź’•
As my home sits on a desert acre, it is a virtual smorgasbord of springtime blooms. Here is a showy display of one of those occasions.
This Beavertail Prickly Pear Cactus, is a bushy succulent shrub, with gray-green, wide and flat, fleshy pads resembling beavertails. They lack the long spines of other Prickly Pear cactus, the pads are covered with tiny bristles, with barbed tips. Sitting on the top edge of the pads, are beautiful, bright, brilliant, iridescent pink flowers.
This duet is sheer cactus flower delight!

Even those are a bit different than my other prickly pear cactus. I glad you like it enough to choose it as a favorite. I really appreciate it!

Interesting comment Basant. These are not roses, but as the title says, they are beavertail prickly pear cactus flowers. I have no roses growing in my Sonoran Desert acre of joy. Cactus flowers are not something to be touched, as the cactus has very fine stickery needles that tenaciously attach themselves in your skin. Thank you for the LF.
