Description
π Come visit more biodiverse beauty, in my gallery "Cave Creek Cnyn Portal AZ" π
Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona, 150 miles east of Tucson, lies Cave Creek Canyon, a hidden gem (as I didn't know this was here before), with spectacular rhyolite cliffs, pine-oak woodland, serene flowing streams, and abundant flora. Cave Creek Canyon has been dubbed, βArizonaβs Yosemite.β It is part of the Coronado National Forest Recreation Area.
You access this splendor, from the tiny town of Portal, which sits at the mouth of the Canyon.
Behind this cloud filled blue sky, are these lichen-covered and sculpted edifices of stone, "Beneath A Canopy Of Woodland!" Breathtaking!

The Chiricahua Mountains have so many impressive areas, Janet! No wonder they got their name for the Apaches that once made them their home. Brava dear lady!....Fav / like
