Description
Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park (USA), is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and its vastness humbles the artist and photographer. It is such a joy to capture its beauty, especially during "golden hour."
Hopi Point is one of the best all-around viewpoints in Grand Canyon National Park! Jutting out farther into the Canyon than any other point on the South Rim, offering terrific views to the east and west (here looking East). A great place for both sunrise and sunset. Hopi Point is located along Hermit Drive, which skirts the Canyon Rim west of Grand Canyon Village. Accessible only by shuttle bus or walking, from March through November.
My husband and myself, were wanting to take advantage of the summer monsoon clouds, that would really add to the beauty of Grand Canyon. It was not until our last day, and the following morning sunrise, that the monsoon weather rolled in.
We were not disappointed, as our last evening, greeted us with stunning, clouds, putting me on "CLOUD NINE," with all the exquisite cloud formations. It was a virtual "Canyon Skyway," over the shaded Kaibab Plateau.

There is just no way unless you are actually in the canyon or visiting that the size and beauty can be appreciated! This is magnificent. FL
Janet Marie replied:
Thank you Debby for visiting my Grand Canyon National Park collection and sharing such a nice comment. It is true that the vastness and GRANDeur certainly does need to be appreciated in person. However, I do love to capture beauteous and special moments at just the right time of day, here. People come, walk out on the viewpoints, such as Mather Point, look out, and leave. The Canyon looks different various times of day, and in various seasons. Visiting during the summer monsoon of August, was all about the clouds. And then of course you have to visit from Hermits Rest, all the way to Desert View on the eastern end. This area is but a fraction of the entire Grand Canyon, which would have to be seen by helicopter, or other modes of air travel.

Canyon clouds always get your attention, Janet! These were just gorgeous!......lfav / like
Janet Marie replied:
How could they not get your attention. To have such beauty hovering over the Grandeur of Grand Canyon, the best way to view it. It was a day of gorgeous cloudscapes, not realizing that the morning sunrise, would be the icing on the cake! I appreciate you choosing this as one of your favorites too! ππππ

Your seeing the awesomeness is a gift, dear Janet......thank you for this, so full of beauty,hope,awe.........fv...........VIVA
Janet Marie replied:
Viva, darling! How precious of you to stop by to visit my gallery, and to share your always inspirational expressions about my artwork. Such delightful words expressed about me, and what I am moved to capture, moves you as well. I mean that's the best isn't it. The "cloud whisperer" (as Heather King has named me), had a field day that day, being on cloud nine, with all the marvelous cloudscapes to capture. I am honored to be able to share them. I hope others derive the same pleasure as I do, as I share them with joy! I also appreciate you choosing this as one of your favorites. Janet π
