Description
Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park, is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and its vastness humbles the artist and photographer. It is such a joy to attempt to capture its beauty, needing to be in the right place at the right time.
When walking along the trail at Mather Point, I like to stop and peer through silhouetted trees (the rustic, gnarly Utah Juniper and Pinyon Pine), and view the Grand Canyon from the rim. It's as though I am peering through a window, into a secret world! Very few seem to stop to do that. It's amazing to see throngs of people just walking down the paved path, not even noticing these special scenic spots.
Towering in the distance are Zoroaster and Brahma Temple rock formations, so I call it, "Temple Through The Trees!"

Thank you, Charlene. I love to photograph through the trees. Especially at Grand Canyon, as it is as though you are looking into a secret world. It's a stop and smell the roses time. Most walk along the rim talking to each other or rushing along, and miss out on these gems.

This is such a FANTASTIC view point Janet; you definitely took the time to explore many of the hidden and often ignored routes and paths along this majestic wonder. It actually is on the rim trail, most people are either on their phones while walking, or busy talking with each other taking no note of these open areas to glean. But I love trees, and love to have them frame an image. At Grand Canyon itโs like peering into a secret world. Observant people are in for never ending view points along the canyon BETWEEN the big name view points, Janet. I see so many folks walking from main point to main point that are so distracted...talking to others, on their devices, looking straight ahead. This is a perfect example of the hundreds of different viewpoints along the way!....fav / like
