Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona, 150 miles east of Tucson, lies Cave Creek Canyon, a hidden gem (as I didn't know this was here before), with spectacular rhyolite cliffs, pine-oak woodland, serene flowing streams, and abundant flora. Cave Creek Canyon has been dubbed, “Arizona’s Yosemite.” It is part of the Coronado National Forest Recreation Area. (USA)
You access this splendor, from the tiny town of Portal, which sits at the mouth of the Canyon.
It's a wintery sky hovering over the snow-capped Chiricahua Mountain Range. The sun will be setting in a few minutes, lighting up the clouds, creating some beautiful hues, in this "Cave Creek Canyon Snow" view.
