My Arizona home sits on an acre of natural desert landscape, and it shares a mere smorgasbord of springtime blooms, to delight the senses, awakening my artistic sensibilities. So, it's a privilege for me, to share the many varieties, to satisfy those who just can't get enough of what the Sonoran Desert has to offer.
Different ones greeted me on a daily basis, all going too soon. Each with one with their own uniqueness. Very often I am competing to capture these lovely blooms, as the native Sonoran Desert, Cactus Bee (Diadasia rinconis), is vying for a spot. It certainly is loving the pollen from this Staghorn Cholla Cactus bloom, "Getting Every Last Drop," is you ask me.
