π Come visit more biodiverse beauty, in my gallery "Cave Creek Cnyn Portal AZ" π
Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona, 150 miles east of Tucson, lies Cave Creek Canyon, a hidden gem (as I didn't know this was here before), with spectacular rhyolite cliffs, pine-oak woodland, serene flowing streams, and abundant flora. Cave Creek Canyon has been dubbed, βArizonaβs Yosemite.β It is part of the Coronado National Forest Recreation Area.
You access this splendor, from the tiny town of Portal, which sits at the mouth of the Canyon.
As I peer through the trees, I see these cliffs peeking above the treetops, hovered by a gorgeous sky. Notice all the caves in the rising cliff, that gives the canyon its name, Cave Creek Canyon. It's sheer "Golden Hour Seclusion!"
