đź’• Come visit more biodiverse beauty, in my gallery "Cave Creek Cnyn Portal AZ" đź’•
Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona, 150 miles east of Tucson, lies Cave Creek Canyon, a hidden gem (as I didn't know this was here before), with spectacular rhyolite cliffs, pine-oak woodland, serene flowing streams, and abundant flora. Cave Creek Canyon has been dubbed, “Arizona’s Yosemite.” It is part of the Coronado National Forest Recreation Area.
You access this splendor, from the tiny town of Portal, which sits at the mouth of the Canyon.
Inspiring beauty of the American southwest desert lays before me, with such magnificent scenery as this. Truly a special place, this "Illus-tree-ous Cave Creek View!" Sculptured edifices of stone above this canopy of Pine-Oak woodland.

Jane! You are so sweet and supportive of my artwork. Thank you for the HOMEPAGE FEATURE, in your wonderful and special Art Group, "AMERICAN DESERT SOUTHWEST!" I am delighted to know that you feel it's beautiful. All that lush forest of Ponderosa Pine and Douglas-fir, along with the oak tree, such a treat to the eyes in winter. This a new place for me, and I look forward to seeing it in the springtime. I am honored to have my artwork represented in your group. Big hugs, Janet

To know that Cochise and Geronimo once experienced these same mountains makes us reflect on the brief, temporary Nature of life as we know it, Janet. There are unlimited places on the earth to visit, experience, and revisit, and one could never tire of them even if we lived forever! Hope to see this place in Spring with you!....Fav / Like
