Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park (USA), is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and its vastness humbles the artist and photographer. It is such a joy to attempt to capture its beauty, needing to be in the right place at the right time.
The right place was staying to watch the ever changing sunrise, while others chose to leave in disappointment. Not realizing what phenomenal photography opportunities awaited us.
This wonderful, August morning sunrise, was full of atmosphere, with misty rain, blue sky coming about. Sweeping across the Canyon are, beautiful, colorful, crepuscular rays out of this sunlit sky, blissfully gracing the famous silhouetted landmarks. I loved how the Canyon was backlit, creating luscious layers and layers of the Canyon, from O'Neill Butte, all the way to Desert View at the very back. It was "Sheer Sunrise Splendor!"
