Description
I love the Arizona Sonoran Desert, Summer Monsoon Rainy Season, because it means FABULOUS, MASSIVE CLOUDS. I love clouds in all their stages.
August 2018, has had some amazing monsoon cloud formations at sunset. The clouds to the east during sunset, can truly put on quite a show in the sky. Creating wonderful backlighting against the clouds, and touches of blue sky around the storm clouds.
It's a most exhilarating experience, to be out photographing the power and beauty of these storms. As it makes a vivid impression on me, I call it my "Splendor In The Clouds!"

It was an amazing moment for sure Marilyn. Right is my very own neighborhood, standing in the street between the two properties, and this is what I behold. I always favorite my artwork after replying to people’s comments, thereby giving them an opportunity to see on the Activity Page, that I appreciated their leaving a comment. I guess sometimes it works. Also I check on work I faved, to see if anyone replied. Sometimes answering their reply. what splendor indeed! there is so much atmosphere, drama and contrast to this one. I could look at a sky like that for hours and not get bored. Featured in Tucson and Southern Arizona!

Well my goodness, Jane! How in the world did I miss replying to this beautiful comment that you shared about my artwork. I am always so appreciative when you visit my gallery, it’s such a pleasure for you to do so. This was an amazing cloud during the Monsoon season. I saw it standing from my backyard, but I did not want all the vegetation and other things to interfere with my photography. So I actually stood out in the street in between my home and my neighbor’s home which we both are on 1 acre lots. And it gave me a beautiful perspective, with such a wonderful composition to capture. I couldn’t believe how the sun setting in the West would light up the clouds in the east, over the Rincon Mountain range, with such glorious colors. I am so delighted that you have such appreciation for this piece. The clouds here in Arizona produce such stunning artistic possibilities for me. I am so grateful to be there at the right time to capture it and share it. I am glad you like it and that it brought you such delight.
