Description
π Come visit more biodiverse beauty, in my gallery "Cave Creek Cnyn Portal AZ" π
Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona, 150 miles east of Tucson, lies Cave Creek Canyon, a hidden gem (as I didn't know this was here before), with spectacular rhyolite cliffs, pine-oak woodland, serene flowing streams, and abundant flora.
Such as this maple tree, surrounded by other plants that are drawn from the Chihuahuan and Sonoran Deserts.
Having lost its leaves, one can get a good view of its ex-tree-mely thick branches, giving it a shimmering silver look to it. I am very fond of trees and couldn't resist capturing such a striking tree. Cave Creek Canyon is certainly Tree-mendous!
You access this splendor, from the tiny town of Portal, which sits at the mouth of the Canyon.

You have really accented the details in this beautiful tree.
Janet Marie replied:
Thank you Greta for taking notice of the details. Without all the leaves to obscure the branches, I couldn't resist capturing the shimmery branches.

Janet, as one who has studied trees in bonsai work, I can truly appreciate the incredibly fine branching in this stunning specimen, captured magnificently! Also love your clever play on words, truly tree-rific! F/L

Whatta TREE and even without its leaves, it has so many branches, it could still provide shade, Janet. Weβll have to see it in its spring array!....Fav / like
Janet Marie replied:
I am very fond of trees and no less with this one. I expressed my feelings about this one in a previous image of this against the cliffs. I too look forward to seeing it in Spring, but without the leaves gives you a glimpse of its intricate detail. I am glad you like it and have chosen it as one of your favorites too! ππππ
