π Come visit more biodiverse beauty, in my gallery "Cave Creek Cnyn Portal AZ" π
Nestled in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona, 150 miles east of Tucson, lies Cave Creek Canyon, a hidden gem (as I didn't know this was here before), with spectacular rhyolite cliffs, pine-oak woodland, serene flowing streams, and abundant flora.
Such as this maple tree, surrounded by other plants that are drawn from the Chihuahuan and Sonoran Deserts.
Having lost its leaves, one can get a good view of its ex-tree-mely thick branches, giving it a shimmering silver look to it. I am very fond of trees and fascinated by rock formations. So I couldn't resist capturing these cliffs peeking above such a striking tree. Cave Creek Canyon, "A Wilderness Re-tree-t! "
You access this splendor, from the tiny town of Portal, which sits at the mouth of the Canyon.

Jerry! Thank you for visiting my gallery and sharing your lovely thoughts about my artwork. I really appreciate it. I am glad you like it and have chosen it as one of your favorites too. I was amazed at the tremendous density of the branches, giving it that silvery look. I would not be able to appreciate it from this point of view if it had leaves. I look forward to seeing it that way in the spring. Janetππππ
