Description
After the Arizona Summer Monsoon rain in the Sonoran Desert begins, a variety of barrel cacti begin to bloom. The flowers can vary in size, shape, color, and texture.
The barrel blooms were glorious the summer of 2017. I had so much fun capturing all wondrous ways to present them. This is my favorite barrel cactus in my very own desert garden of joy. Here, I have captured two on the outer edge, highlighting the fish-hooked shape thorns. The flowers atop this Fish Hook Barrel Cactus, are glorious, and do not fall short in their lustrous beauty. Enjoy this presentation of "A Double Feature!"

I went to add this summer’s captures of my barrel cactus flowers into the barrel cactus folder, and discovered I had some beautiful moments from last summer, that I had not shared yet. This is one of those. I am elated that you have chosen it as one of your favorites! I have been distracted for the past two months, since returning from Europe, and I am hoping to post more of the beauty of my world, starting next week.
