Description
A mama dove laid two eggs in the heart of the Summer Monsoon Season. She built her nest on top of an abandoned Cactus Wren's nest, right in my own Arizona Sonoran Desert acre, my garden of joy!!
She had some daunting days, laying on her eggs through rainstorms (just check out some of my rainstorm cloud photography), but staying at her post. Now here she has had her baby birds, and is protecting them, not flinching at me being up close and personal. I wanted to capture the babies, but Mom would not budge.

I did not want her to leave out of fright, and the babies fall out of the nest. But a few days later the whole family was gone. So here they are "About To Fly The Coop!"

Pavitha!! So delighted you came to visit my gallery and comment on my photography!! I am glad you feel it is beautiful! Was difficult at first to get close up. The moment she saw me, she would fly away. I captured her in the cactus far away to show how precarious a place she chose with all the Monsoon storms. Just look at all my storm photography and the bird is able to deal with all of that and her babies were born safely. You can view her journey with descriptions in my Desert Gallery/Collections. I am so glad you noticed her eyes, that is why I chose this particular shot. She had feeling and trust for me. She allowed me shoot from various angles!! Thank you for noticing!!
