Description
You certainly would not want to knock at this home! You would end up with a knuckle full of Cane Cholla Cactus spines. They get you just looking at them. Would it not be a hoot to venture inside this Cactus Wren bird’s nest, for just one minute (I am claustrophobic), to get "the birds eye view" as they say. I love showing the intricateness of this nest, by getting a close-up, and watching the male and female work together, building this work of art.
The cactus wren is of such marvelous design by our CREATOR, to build such a cozy home for their young. Built in the relatively safe place of the cactus thorns. It is so interesting to watch it fly back and forth with a collection of various items from my desert garden of joy, to build its nest. Just another wonderful part of being in my desert paradise. I felt it was of such amazing structure, I had to photograph it, giving this home the title, “Knock, Knock Anyone Home?”

Tara!! How lovely of you to stop by my gallery and share your impression about my photography! What sweet words you have shared about this image. I watched this cactus wren fly back and forth with items it had collected to build this nest (the mom and dad work on it together). I am amazed at its structure and design, and how they build it in the thorny cholla cactus. I just had to capture it. I am glad you like it and feels it's wonderful and exceptional. Thank you for adding me to your watch list by choosing to follow me!! I appreciate your support with the L/F too! 💕Janet

Thank you for your visit to one of my favorite images. I was sitting, relaxing on my back porch and watched a Cactus Wren collect items all over my desert paradise to build this home. What love and wisdom on the part of our Lofty God and Creator to design this wonderful bird. What pleasure it brings me and hopefully others to share this image and tell its story. I so appreciate your commendation.
