It was glorious spring day, in the Arizona Sonoran Desert. The desert becomes a showy display of color. It was no exception this day in April 2019, at the Saguaro National Park Rincon Mountain District, Tucson, Arizona. (USA). I especially wanted to capture some of the beautiful colors of springtime in the desert. You couldn't pick a better place, as the desert landscape is bursting with color of wildflowers and cactus blooms.
Purple is my passion color. It combines the calm of blue and the vibrancy of red. The color purple is often associated with royalty, creativity, peace, and grandeur. Having a wonderful effect on the mind and body, uplifting, calming, increases sensitivity, encouraging imagination and creativity.
Like these bell shaped Notch-leaved Phacelia (phacelia crenulata, related to the forget-me not family, coming in many other varieties too), purple flowers are rare, and are considered delicate and precious. They give me a feeling of romance, feminine energy, gracefulness, and elegance. Just imagine, something so tiny, doing all that!
