Description
Since 1933 this extraordinary giant cactus, the Saguaro, has been protected within SAGUARO NATIONAL PARK.
The saguaro has been called monarch of the Sonoran Desert, supreme symbol of the American Southwest, and a plant with PERSONALITY. It is renowned for the variety of ODD, ALL-TOO-HUMAN shapes it assumes...shapes that inspire wild and fanciful imaginings.
I had the pleasure of capturing some of these ALL-TOO-HUMAN SHAPES with personalities. I would like to introduce you to some of them. This more than 75 year old Saguaro Cactus is saying GREAT JOB, WELL DONE for his friend's accomplishment of making it to 75 (as they live a vulnerable life), hence "A PAT ON THE BACK!"

Debby! Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery to view some of my photography. Always a joy! I hope you had an opportunity to read my description in regards to these giants that remind us of the human like scenarios. This is one of five of those Saguaro cactus with a bit of a personality. I am glad that you like it and feel itβs amazing and was love at first sight. I am so glad that this place was changed from a national monument to a national Park giving it to protection to preserve these wonderful giants the unique Saguaro Cactus. They only grow successfully and is a native plant in the Sonoran desert. That day I had wonderful subjects, phenomenal clouds, a gorgeous sunset. I appreciate your support with the FLGTw too!π
